Brief History of Carrie Forman Oliver:
Carrie Forman Oliver was born on March 1, 1890 in Girard, Georgia. She was one of five children born to the late Charles and Betsy Green Forman. Carrie lost her mother at an early age; however, God made a way for her father Charles to remarry to Rose Hurst.
Carrie had 10 siblings: Charles, Jake, Wiley, Ellen, Alice, Annie Mae, Arthur "Chuck", Issac, Nellie, and Louise. Uncle Chuck is the only living sibling of Grandma Carrie.
Carrie was married to the late Mose Oliver, Sr. They had seven children: Mose Jr., Josie Bell, Alber, May Bell, Louise, and two other unknown by name. Carrie was a member of the St. Paul Baptist Church in Girard, Georgia which is also her final resting place.
In the fall 1952, Carrie moved to Dorchester, South Carolina and united with the Surprise Baptist Church. She was a loyal member of her church and a true woman of God.
Carrie Forman Oliver raised the children of her late sister, Ellen Forman Hankerson: four nephews - Samuel, Walter, Earlie, and William Hankerson and two nieces - Mary Ellen and Lllian Hankerson. She also raised two daughters of her late brother, Wiley Forman Sr.: Annie Mae Moody and Edna Fludd.
Grandma Carrie's final sunset was on March 10, 1977.
She was a beautiful, caring, lovable, and gifted woman whose legacy continues to live on through many descendants.

MCFO Renunion History:
The MCFO Family Reunion was the vision of Grandma Carrie's grandson the late Rev. George Roberts Jr., the son of Josie Bell Roberts. With the help of his daughter, Geneva Roberts Kwawu and cousin, Pearl Baxley, a family reunion meeting was held in 1980 at the home of May Bell Oliver Baxley in Perkins, GA. The following family members were present at the meeting: Albert Oliver, Burnis and Louise Oliver Coleman, Rev. George and Willie Bell Griffin Roberts, Geneva Kwawu, and Pearl Baxley Jefferson.
After much discussion and planning, the first reunion was held in July 1981 in Savannah, GA. Before the reunion ended, the members voted to hold the next reunion the following year in the same city. After the Savannah reunion in
1982, the family decided to meet every two years.
